Step back into the City Lights; the Queen of London Town.

Been back in London for a week+ now! The weather has been surprisingly perfect, really! I know it's summer now so the sunshine shouldn't surprise me, but for awhile there, I just couldn't get my head around to accepting that not everyday is a miserable, dreary, cold, blistering, rainy day.

The weather was so amazing in fact, that it seemed like a sin to just keep going shopping or watching telly so I decided to plan for a picnic with the pals at Regent Park. We had carrot cake, sushi, kueh lapis, green tea, beer, tapioca chips, yupi burger and all sorts of other singaporean snacks :)

Jason chasing the squirrel and Jia trying to entice/imitate?? the squirrel, very amusing indeed.

And then the boys left for house viewing so the girls started doing what we do best.

Yes, camwhoring (Krystle, Me & Jia)

Loook at the lovely sunshine! (excuse the narcissism, heehee)

The best things about picnics in London are the complete lack of ants/mosquitoes and the windiness (read: no humidity, sweating)!

And then Sem finished work and came down to join us!

Jia makes new friends & the boys have an afternoon siesta?

Making daisy chains

The boys called us lame, then decided to join in when we were halfway through, but ended up finishing the daisy chains faster than us!!!!

All of us (minus Karmeng who was taking the photos and refused to wear the daisy chain, and Zach who made his daisy chain for Chong Lin, very sweet!) If I didn't know better, I'd think it's St Patricks Day or something, with all the greens!

photo frenzy, note that the photos below were taken around 8pm and the sun was still out, wonderfully fantastic! we stayed at the park for like, five hours!

started playing with the colour accent on jia's cam

the look on jason's face pretty much sums up our afternoon in the park: absolute bliss!

That day was actually a kinda emotional and difficult one for me, but my pals really made my day! Thanks, you guys, for making me laugh and smile :) Good thing I wasn't home alone emo-ing! Anyway we left the park around 830 and headed over to Mai Sushi for dinner :)

Other than that, my parents have been in London with me because they practically had to "drag me back here themselves" or I would have stayed in Singapore for... forever, really. So yes, Parents + Good weather = London more bearable = Less Homesickness. Notice I say less homesickness, that means I'm still homesick but not as much. I know, my friends tell me I'm full of shit all the time, I've just only been back here two weeks whilst they haven't even gone home in months and I'm still complaining so much!

Cupcakes at Westfield's Mall

I'm kinda in the pattern of waking up around noon everyday, going for a yummy lunch and then shopping till dinner time. Head home after dinner for some television or ichat with the boy, and then sleeping around 3am. Repeat the following day.

Yums

Touristy shots with the Mother at Piccadilly Circus, Shopping at Regent Street

Watched Sister Act, the new musical produced by Whoopi Goldberg, showing at the London Palladium. Started off a bit dry, but turned out to be as funny as promised, and highly entertaining :) Expected them to do "I will follow you" cos I thought that was the movie's theme song, but they didn't - instead they featured "a brand new score by 8 time Oscar winner Alan Menken whose credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and most recently the hit movie Enchanted."

Another random day of shopping in Sloane Street & Kings Road

Lounging in Hyde Park

Random picture of random man that Mummy saw and thought was very funny cos he was posing and posing half naked and just looked hilarious really.

Dinner at a cute french beeeestro bistro

Shopping at David Mayer Naman- they practically closed the shop for Daddy but there were no womenswear and i was bored and stuck inside.

Personal shopping haha

Mummy's turn

Tired at the end of the day

One of the days we had high tea at Liberty's

Patisserie Valerie for my favourite strawberry gateaux and milkshake

Lunch at Caviar House & Prunier, so expensive but oh so damn delicious

We pretty much have fallen into a pattern of doing the same things everday- shop, eat soak up the sun and watch musicals once in a while ( Billy Elliot tomorrow, yay!) Yup, so my days have kinda been rolled one into another so much so that I've kinda lost track of which day I do. But hey that's what my twitter is for I guess- to help me keep track of the little details :)
